Teaka is a native of Nashville, TN.  In college she dual-majored earning her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Pre-Law Criminal Justice and Psychology from Tennessee State University while maintaining the academic Deans List.


Teaka has gained practical work experience from hands on the job training, college courses, internships, and continued education that contributes to her nine-year legal profession.  She has a broad overview of civil law and procedurepersonal injurywrongful death, family law, criminal law and procedure, legal research, healthcare liability, pre-litigation and litigation, courtroom and trial procedures, and etc.


In addition to her extensive legal experience, Teaka has taken various steps to enhance and further her career by obtaining the following certifications/license:
•Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Civil and Victim-Offender Mediator
•QPR Suicide Prevention Certified by the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health.
•Duly Commissioned Notary Public for the State of Tennessee


In March 2019, Teaka joined Crain Law Group, LLC.  


Since early childhood Teaka is someone who has always engaged in philanthropy by volunteering and supporting various charitable causes.  She was recently recognized by the State of Tennessee for her efforts.


In 2018, she was the recipient of the MAC for People with Disabilities Award given by the Mayor’s Advisory Committee in conjunction with Vanderbilt Kennedy Center.  This award recognizes and honors leaders in the community pursuing inclusion and accessibility by doing extraordinary things for people within the disability community while helping to make Nashville a more welcoming place for everyone.


Teaka enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her beloved family.
